All the Answers You Need
Do you schedule sick pet appointments?
Yes and no. As you can imagine there is a wide range of health urgencies and emergencies. I do my best to assess patients and manage their conditions at home. Many minor or chronic illnesses can be dealt with at home, but occasionally animals will need to be assessed or treated with more specialized equipment. In these instances I will refer you to another brick-and-mortar vet clinic that is equipped with these services. If you have concerns about your pet's health and need to schedule an appointment please reach out by email. Emails are checked more frequently than voicemails.
Do you offer payment plans?
Unfortunately, I am not able to offer payment plans directly, but I do accept CareCredit as a payment option. CareCredit does offer payment plan options for approved borrowers. I also accept cash, check and credit/debit payments. We also encourage our clients to be honest and feel comfortable expressing any finanacial concerns they may have. We work hard to stay within each family's budget while providing the best care possible. It's important to work together to achieve this goal.
Do you offer pet insurance?
Typically, pet insurance is paid for through a 3rd party and requires payment up front. Once you submit a claim to your pet's insurance company they will reimburse you according to your policy. I am able to complete any forms that are needed to submit a claim to your pet's insurance and help with this process. I strongly encourage owners to get pet insurance established when they are young and healthy, before emergencies or high medical costs occur.
Do you offer on-call 24/7 services?
Simply put, no. As a solo practitioner with 3 small children, you can imagine how that would be a recipe for sleep deprivation and burnout. I am committed to providing my full attention to my clients and their pets during working hours, and being available by phone or email. If you have an emergency outside of these hours please contact your nearest emergency facility. Many questions can be answered over the phone, and the staff there can assist in helping you decide if your pet needs to be seen overnight.
